This is a one of a kind item. Signed first edition/first print book, The Smiling Country, with inscription and autograph + signed personal greeting card. The book is in good overall condition with a minor break in the binding as shown in the photo and a repaired page. There is also a personal greeting card written by Elmer to his friend (the same name inscribed in the book). I have marked the name out to protect this person’s privacy.

The greeting card discusses Mr. Kelton’s wife and her health. Further it talks about Elmer’s memoir and his 60th wedding anniversary. This was written on Mr. Kelton’s greeting card which is pictured in the photos. Again, I have covered the person’s name to protect his privacy. I’ve also covered majority of the card contents to protect the information Mr. Kelton shared with his friend.
